This home-made face-mask for acne prone skin sounds kind of silly, and smells wild on the skin, but it's really great! I was skeptical when I first tried this ayurvedic remedy. I think along with my resurrected diet of eating well, cleanser, and mask, my skin has been looking mighty smooth and supple lately!
Ingredients:
1 spoonful of organic manuka honey
Honey is a cleansing and moisturizing antioxidant and has antibacterial/microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
Turmeric, applied topically, has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.
4 raw garlic cloves
Active sulfur and allicin in garlic lends to it's antibacterial properties.
Method:
Run these ingredients together through a small mixie or mash and mix-up manually. Apply this super-sticky & stinky mask to the face, and let sit for 5-10 minutes depending on the sensitivity of your skin. Rinse with luke-warm water. And voila! Lovely!~

Notes:
Honey is perfect for sensitive skin. So, if your skin can't tolerate garlic and turmeric, try mixing honey with another ingredient such as milk for another facial.
Turmeric, applied topically, is not recommended for people with pale skin as it may discolor skin and be difficult to wash off.
The allicin in garlic is very strong, and not recommended to leave on sensitive skin due to the "burning" you will experience. Yes, you will have a burning sensation on the skin. Some people's skin handles this well. Other's skin does not. So apply at your own risk. :)
