Persian tea

K and I have a favorite little Persian restaurant we go to on special occasion. There they serve the most lovely of tea I have ever had! We decided to make it at home, and, well, it's all quite simple...

Ingredients:

2 tbsp green tea leaves
2 cups water
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp splenda or to taste, whatever suits you!

Method:

Boil water

Add tea leaves

Stir

Add cardamom

Stir

Pour over tea strainer into mug...

Add sugar

Stir

Enjoy! ;-)

This tea should be a very pale light tan liquid, not dark. That is just the lighting. Don't be fooled by my ambient lighting...Heehee... Tip: Immediately strain tea after stirring in the cardamom, as this is an art, however, it does take precision. ;-) Leaving the green tea leaves in the water too long will result in bitter flavor.
